Videos specific for Initial and recurrent knowledge tests: Videos on our site will include knowledge on topics that not only non-certificated pilots will be tested on, and can be merely a review for certificated pilots preparing for the FAA online course.
Courses such as: • Airspace • Aviation weather sources • Radio communications • Physiological effects of drugs and alcohol • Aeronautical decision-making • Airport operations.
Here at Helicopter Ground, Kenny Keller, the creator and myself, Gary Cleveland, have both went through the process of getting our remote pilot certificate. Already being pilots, the process that we went through was simply going on to the FAA safety website and going through the initial knowledge course, passing the test that is also an online test, and then going through the IACRA system to do an application for an add-on rating for a drone pilot. And, finally, being recommended by a certified flight instructor to process the application.
